TYPES OF RESEARCH

Qualitative research can take on many shapes and forms. We've found that it's best used early on in the strategic development and creative inspiration phases or later on in the evaluation and optimization phases. This is a sampling of the types of research projects our team has worked on.

  • Positioning Development
  • Concept Evaluation
  • Advertising / Communications Optimization
  • Packaging Optimization
  • Co-Creation / New Brand & Product Innovation
  • Consumer Profiling / Consumer Immersion
  • Shop-a-longs
  • Consumer Journey Mapping
  • Exploratory & Values Studies

TYPES OF METHODOLOGIES

We work with a range of qualitative methodologies and, where appropriate, leverage the latest technology and tools. Methodology is determined by the research question, budget, timeline, and target consumer group. Here’s a sampling of approaches we use:

FACE-2-FACE RESEARCH

includes everything from traditional focus groups to man-in-the-street interviews to ethnographic immersions. We utilize proven qualitative techniques that build positive respondent/researcher rapport and ask interesting questions that don't bore the respondent or the client.

ONLINE & MOBILE QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

Tech can be a researcher’s best friend. Especially when talking with the younger generations. We use technology to help us conduct better research. By leveraging things like mobile and laptop camcorders and instant messaging and deploying tools like car motion sensors and dash cams, we’re able to learn insights to real time behaviors and feelings, facilitate research more quickly, and enhance face-to-face research. Some of the best research happens when the researcher isn't in the room.

Immersion sessions

Welcome to an un-traditional approach to consumer research. In this fun, engaging alternative to focus groups. your consumers are the problem solvers. And the clients get in on the action. Cheers to knocking down the glass wall.
